I'm going to California next month and I'm a little nervous about the plane also and idk why cause I flew all the way to Hawaii last year and I had anxiety then too AND I was pregnant.

I actually didn't at all, I was nervous at take off and when it got turbulence over the ocean cause it was a very long flight (like 8 hours) but I never panicked surprisingly.

Look up "fear of flying" course. Its a mostly free course ( it gives you all the basic info....but for more in depth counseling you have to pay.) I've always used the free portion and it helps. It Is given by a former commercial airline pilot and there is plenty of printable items that you can read to reassure yourself before and once on the plane. It really does help. If you really have extreme fear, your doc can prescribe a low dose of xanax that will just mellow you out for your flight. You can tell one of the flight attendants beforehand that you are taking a flying sedative and they will look in on you a bit more ( personal experience here).
You will be fine. Enjoy your disney trip! Let us know how things went.

will keep the thread updated. Leaving tomorrow at 8:30 to go to the airport. The plane departs at 12:30. I put some movies on my iphone to distract me. Will not be taking any meds before going on the plane (not prescribed any anyways) Will face whatever the fuck is bothering me head on. Most of it is just irrational fears that will probably go away once I see how easy it is during take off. I just havnt done it since having a anxiety disorder. I refuse to let this ruin my awesome vacation im about to have.
