Yesterday, I went to receive the results of some medical tests. I was convince I was about to be told that I had cancer. The previous 10 days had been a nightmare. Very highly strung.
The long and the short of it was that there's is no obvious sign of cancer.
I preceded to fall into a full blown panic attack in the middle of the Dr's surgery. I was breathless and agitated to the point that she gave me medication to calm me down there and then.
What followed was a discussion of my previous 20 years of problems and the alcohol that followed it.
My Dr was brilliant, took the issue very seriously and is meeting me again to plot a course of treatment.
Not too sure what to think now. In a bit of shock.
Already started medication and it's helping, so far.
