Recently I have been feeling pressure in my jaw and around my ear it's not constant, but it scares me because anxiety makes me think its something worser. My ear sounds muffled and it began after I became sick with sinus problems after going swimming at an amusement park. Help!

I get sinus infections A LOT, and my ears ALWAYS get muffled too, sometimes lasting for weeks. It's so annoying, not being able to hear.

As for the pressure in your jaw, it could be from your ears. Or you may be clenching your jaw and you don't realize it. I do that a lot, and I catch myself sometimes and have to tell myself to stop. Don't worry, you will be fine. Just need a little more time to fully get over whatever you were sick with.

Maybe blocked/ wax ears? Worth getting your doctor to check. I work in a ear clinic and this sounds like that . X

If the click sound is coming from your ears, its probably blockage like sharacel says.

If you think the sound is coming from your jaw, then yeah its probably your tmj, but that's completely normal and nothing to worry about, unless you recently had trauma to your jaw, which it sounds like you haven't. I'm a dental hygienist and I know about tmj. You are fine don't worry. But yes you may want to see an ear, nose, and throat doctor.

Between me and sharacel we got you covered! lol!

Thanks you guys and the noise definitely seems to come from the jaw.

Yes it could be TMJ which many anxiety sufferers experience. I have it myself. Its nothing to worry about but can be annoying. I have mine because I grind and clench my teeth at night.
