Heart beating out of my chest. I want to scream I know I've asked a thousand times but will my chest congestion cause my chest and throat to swell up or cause my to have an asthma attack. Please help me

My asthma always kicks up when I get sick and stuff gets all in my chest.

Well I don't think it is actually closing but yes I feel that sensation. It is uncomfortable to say the least but if I can distract myself I usually forget about it.

Blessed, if you are still up, please go to bed :) Your throat is not going to close up. You are not taking deep breaths ( probably because of the congestion and the anxiety combined) Take a hot shower the steam will help you if not boil water in a pot and tent your head and breathe in the steam. Please relax I have a deviated septic ( broken nose caused the interior nostril to be blocked on one side ) so when I get congested ( also on HBP meds ) I can't breathe at all and my heart also races. Your heart feels like it is going a lot faster then it is. You are breathing, it just feels like you can't. Maybe Dr can give you something to open up bronchial tubes ? Don't worry, try to get some rest.

I've had the whole " feels like yr throat is getting smaller / closing up etc )
And the more u worry the worse it gets ( feels ) ...
