Does anyone take this for anxiety and does it help? I've had anxiety for a few years now since I had a miscarriage in 2008. After that had some other issues..floods..tree fell on house..in law issues. Job issues. Guess the body can only handle so much. Had a few panic attacks and ended up in ER only to be sent home with xanex and metoprolol. I take the metoprolol once a day 25mg. Only take xanex when needed. I can't stand the constant anxiety. I was always a care free person.
Sorry you have had such a bad time. I have had post natal depression after several miscarriages and an ectopic pregnancy. That depression always follows a path for me like a dark tunnel and although I know what is coming next I can't stop it. Unfortunately each time I have had it I have got worse and in 1995 was in hospital 3 weeks because I was suicidal. This time i have a hormone imbalance again because of my age and now have had clinical depression and anxiety for 2 years - at the beginning i was in hospital for 7 weeks because suicidal. This time it has gone on so long that it is a mountain on top of me and not a tunnel. I have had many different anti depressants over the years but this time my body has reacted against everything I have had before and the 2 main groups of anti depressants. So they have struggled to lift my mood but have just out me on a tablet brand new to the market and diazepam for anxiety. The Gynae is also still struggling to sort my hormones too.
I too developed terrible anxiety and panic disorder after having two miscarriages in the past 12 months - it's horrible :(

I was on the Metoprolol and Ativan when needed. It seemed to help but they had to take me off of it because my blood pressure was too low 90/45. I have always been a little low but the Metoprolol put me way low. They told me I had minor SVT and that's why they they put me on it. Now they are saying my anxiety caused the SVT. Good luck to you! Anyone would have anxiety after all you have been through.
Thanks I just need the gynae to find a way to put my hormones right, the psychiatrist to find a tablet that will work at last, have a new mental health nurse who gives me the right support, plus learn techniques to help myself by going on NHS courses, and I will at last start to get my life back. Luckily in the last couple of weeks since i have been off work after two knee operations they seem to be finding solutions to these problems so I might have some better life soon- my husband hopes so, he is sick if it this time after such a long time.
