I don't want to depend on meds to be in a good mood. Does anyone have ideas that may help this situation ?

Poor thinking habits are a big contributer to feeling down.

It's not an instant fix, but it WILL change how you feel very slowly over time, and the effects will be more permanent than any medication.

I have found the NHS courses and mental health courses have given me lots of ways of getting better rather than just tablets. For example meditation is really good and can really help, mindfulness helps too.
