I know breathing exercises should help with anxiety, from what I've read. I can't get past the first minute. It makes me feel like I will stop breathing altogether so I panic and stop. Any tips?

I like to count like deep inhale, "1-relax" exhale, "2-relax" etc and try to make it to at least twenty. By then, blood chem is back to near normal and I feel better.

Hi I try this too a couple times it helps a little but I still reach for my meds....crazy huh:/

I think breathing is the hardest part about anxiety/panic attacks.. I find I need to be alone to get my breathing in order, and it takes awhile at that. From what I've learned, it's all about getting oxygen back to the brain..deep breaths in thru the nose and out thru the mouth. Hope that's some type of help?.. Again, I'm still learning
