Out of the blue. No reason. No excitement. No caffeine just having a full blown panic attack. Took 2 Ativan my heart rate still high. Feel jittery and shaky am I gonna die? Geez something has got to give and I'm afraid it's gonna be my mind. Please help me!!!!!!

Medication seems to make things worse as far as I can tell you. I don't really know.....

Are u guys not frm England as a lot ov posts mention diff medication that I avnt heard ov and the ones I'm on no-one has mentioned :-/

Ativan is for anxiety and obviously today it's not working!!!!! I feel so helpless right now

I can relate Blessed.. Ativan usually does the trick for me.. but sometimes the attacks are so overwelming i have to calm myself down.. breathing or walking, but most helpful is coming here for me and talking about it. Hopw it helps you the same.

Sometimes our body produces symptoms that create fear and panic. Often it's just surges of adrenaline and an over reactive nervous system. You can regain control of it if you'll stop the second reaction.

1st reaction is the experience of symptoms; heart racing, BP high, derealization, dizziness, sudden fear that something is wrong.

2nd reaction is the fear that accompanies the 1st. If you can control the second the first loses its power.
