Atenolol

Can anyone tell me what the sole purpose of atenolol is and if u have ever taken it and if so what's your thoughts?

More than one purpose. It's too slow the heart rate and dull your bodies response to adrenaline. That will help with rapisd pulse and other symptoms stemming from the adrenaline that comes with anxiety. It helped me for years with social anxiety. I use propranolol now though. Alankay

My doc put me on it almost two years ago for High bp but my bp is fine. I want to come off but afraid doc will say no? I am on very small dosage but side effects have been bothersome such as sexual side effects etc
