Hello i am new here but not to Anxiety

Hello I am Dawndy I have had anxiety all my life, had a complete break down in 1998. I have been off anti depressants for two years now. I am having anxiety really bad ..at the moment just had a really awful anxiety attack. My family dr stopped seeing me when hubby lost his job and we lost our insurance. I am now going to a clinic that sees you on a sliding scale ... Needless to say she doesn't believe I should take Ativan for my anxiety... I only take it during an attack ... She wants me to take an antidepressant. I am refusing because I am not depressed and I am numb emotional when I take them. I am thinking of going back to work after getting ssi for the last 11 years. We just can't survive on the new job my husband got .. It is less than unemployment, but it ran out. That is enough to give anyone anxiety right there! Anyway I just wanted to introduce myself and give you some info.

Hi I'm new here..., and too this Extreme of anxiety!! It's overwhelming!... I lost my brother a little over a year ago suddenly( he was my go to guy) .. then tragically list my best friend in a car accident 6 months later.. Since then.., Panic Attack Central!!!

Hi sound guy.. I am so sorry for your loss of your brother and the loss of your best friend. No wonder you have anxiety! You are not alone. Just remember that you have a lot of people on here who suffer too.

Thanks Dawndy... Again all new to me... It Sucks!! I've never had these outta the blue attacks... Thanks to my docs it helps, but my friends have no idea why I have to take an Adivan every so often, and are calling me a pill popper!!! They don't get it!!

Unless you have had a panic attack you will never know ... My husband thought I was crazy .. He didn't understand, until pressure at work started getting to him and out of the blue he had an anxiety attack at work, they called an ambulance thinking he was having a heart attack .. Now he understands and he is so good when I have anxiety. A lot of my friends don't understand it. And it is hard. With the ones who judge me for taking pills, I just don't tell them anymore ... It make things easier
