anxiety around kids

im really bad with kids
and i feel like at times, little kids are smarter and more mature than me when they talk to me.. cause whenever i try to respond to their questions , .... *sighs* im so stupid sometimes


i feel like such a disspointment

Hey blur, you're not stupid, and neither are you a disappointment.

You're probably much smarter than these little kids, but sometimes little kids come off as smarter or more mature because they just speak what's on their minds, and don't fear what people are thinking about them. I know what you mean about this. I've got a little brother that's 14 years younger than me, and sometimes when I talk to him, I think he's got a better head on his shoulders than I do. This is just 'cause I'm more of a worry wart than he is though. :roll:

Anyway, don't beat yourself up. I'm sure you're a lovely person. Some people aren't quite fit to interact with children very well, but that's pretty common.
