Hi my name is Maria, I have joined this forum yesterday and I think I feel a bit relieved. I have suffered from anxiety since I stopped using drugs which is 4 years ago and have been dealing with crazy symtoms ever since. In fact I was going to relapse due to the anxiety attacks I was having. I never took medicine for the anxiety but I wanted to confirm something with you re the symptoms because in the beginning I started having chest pain, pounding hearth, shaking, cold and urinate a lot which I know are symptoms but after some time the symptoms were changing. Recently I think I am on the brick of insanity with this cause I have constant tension headaches and neck pain and ringing in ears. I don't know whether these are symptoms of anxiety and if symptoms change from time to time. BTW I did echo, mri and ct scan and blood tests. I feel so bad all day long I am scared of doing anything and don't even want to go to work. I don't think I ever felt this bad during these last years!

After I quit smoking pot and getting drunk I started getting panic attacks. I know the drugs and alcohol were just masking the anxiety that was there all along. Now I think to myself I should start smoking weed again because in reality all the prescription drugs do is mask your anxiety. Plus I'm sure the side effects are way worse. Problem is my job prevents me from doing so.

Hi Maria, I'm new to this forum to. I am in college and am going through the same things. I don't want to go to class or clinicals, which is 12 hours a week of nonstop being in a supportive and sociable massage therapist role. I often feel so anxious that I end up staying home. This makes me feel like a failure, but getting myself back in there the next time is what really counts. Hang in there. I know its hard. Reward yourself with something when you have successful days, and pamper yourself when you don't. The key is keep your chin up, and don't allow it to consume your world.

Thanks for the support. I try to not think of it but sometimes I'm having some fun and suddenly I get the symptoms and lately I'm feeling very dizzy with constant headaches I can't live with that. But at least I'm not alone this forum has helped me a lot this week. Thanks all !!

I used to have constant dizziness, now it's only so often. I do have the fainting feeling a lot of the time.

I also get this weird "shaky" vision than can stop me dead in my tracks.

I have health anxiety so I am constantly monitoring and obsessing over every little feeling in my body. It does my head in :(

It is normal for some athletic people to have resting heart rates of 50-60. I have the opposite problem. Although my resting HR is around 68, when I'm anxious it goes up double or more.

I get that a lot actually feeling like I need to burp! I was told that is acid reflux or GERD and is also cause by anxiety. I never used to have it before.

I sometimes go to a doctor and they assure me nothing is wrong and I feel fine but afterwards I get the same weird feelings and end up panicking again.
