Hey everybody my name is Andrew. I have had severe anxiety for about 3 years now. I can't seem to shake it off. I had one point for about three months where I thought I lost my anxiety but BAM! it hits back ten fold. I've had all kinds of symptoms and about 10 EKG's, 1 MRI, 1 CT Scan, 15 Blood Tests and all normal. I can not believe the brain creates all of these horrible symptoms. I've had palpitations, pressure in my head thinking it was going to pop, dizziness, feeling of passing out, feeling of a heart attack, numb (every thing), muscle twitching, speech jumbling, some confusion or brain fog, and much more. I hope by talking to people here about it and hearing that everyone else has gone or still going through this will help me with my anxiety.

Hey Andrew. You just described my story. Plus or minus a few symptoms. I've had it for about 12 years now. It comes and goes. Went 4 years without a panic attack and was on NO meds, then a doctors visit gave me a false reading on a blood test and they have been back every since. Nothing was wrong but damage was done. I constantly worry about my health primarily my heart. Test after test show nothing. I have a little bit of high blood pressure that I take meds for but it's only high when I'm anxious which seems to be alot. Anyways welcome.

Dang. Thats exactly me. I take 5 mg of propranolol every night because my Blood pressure has been high all my life but since I stopped drinking mountain dew, since first panic attack, it has been ok except for when I have anxiety issues. My bp will go up to like 150/90 but then soon as I eventualy relax it goes back down to 120/70's. I always worry about my heart as well because my mom has really bad heart issues and im deathly afraid of getting her heart issues. I have had one ekg come back saying possible large ventricle but with a heart x-ray and a re-done ekg it showed normal. that scared the living hell out of me. Anxiety can cause weird things to your heart. Even tonight, I am sitting here worrying about my muscles because they hurt all over and twitch alot then causing more anxiety thinking im not breathing properly...which then makes my brain start acting all weird keeping me awake a lot longer than i want to be. My wife goes to bed at 10-11pm and I want to be able to do that but my body wont let me and then i only get like 4 hours of sleep. I just moved to new jersey and dont have the money to get a doctor for more ativan so im using only when i really really really need it but my body is slowly spiraling downwards...ugh.

Yes I take Ativan daily but it seems to only calm me after I get anxious. I want to not get anxious at all. Still looking for that.

I actually tried going to the gym here and it has helped a bit because it releases good hormones i guess to block anxiety but it still doesn't make me feel like my old self. If I can just go a week without anxiety without the meds then im sure my body would get used to that trend and maybe stay on it but it is soooooo damn hard to get to a week...i can get to three days without anxiety.
