Is anyone else affected by SAD in the winter? If so, how do you deal with it?

Yep I am, sadly... It's kinda screwed up because I've been acomplishing a lot in my life these last months and now I feel like nothing's worth it anymore, it's so hard to keep the positive attitude up with this

It is isn't it.. I live in Alberta, Canada so it's like -30 snowing every day. Very depressing.

Why can't we go into hibernation like bears do?

Have you ever had your Vitamin D levels checked? Vitamin D supplements might help your SAD as well as fish oil.

I take Vitamin D drops. I also use this UV light for like half an hour a day.

I hate summer... Winter rules.

Most people would like a sunny day at the beach.... I've always liked a rainy day in the swamp

You have to know how much to take. Not just what the bottle says. If you are low on vit D you will require more than what the bottle says so you still might not be getting enough to feel the difference. Plus if your not low in D you don't want to just take it. It's not a water soluble vitamins. To much D can cause anxiety too. Have you been checked for D?

Get checked for D and B 12. Both can cause anxiety to be worse. I had to do 50,000 D for 6 weeks and then supplements of 5000 then 2000 then 1000. I have to get rechecked again soon. Once your low you have to get checked every 6 mths to make sure your at the right level. After the first treatment you get checked after 3 mths them it goes to 6 mths. I was low and it was summer. Lol. I even go out in the sun but still was low. So you never know.
