Does anyone else get chest pains and tightness when doing vigorous activity? If I work out my chest hurts. Today I cleaned my entire house and felt like my chest was being squeezed. It really worries me. I'm 25, 110 pounds. I'm worried its my heart

Hey, cat. Are you being treated by a doctor for your anxiety, and if so, did you tell her about this?

I get that sometimes but have you had your heart checked?

I've had my heart checked several times in the past years. I've had several EKG's and blood work done that always comes back normal. Could it still be my heart?

I think your heart is just fine.

I get this all the time. Have been tested multiple times. Mine is a combo of stress and my back going out of place. Chiropractic and massage help me immensely.

Exercising raises heart rate. If you've been suffering anxiety long enough your brain will associate the raised heart rate with the usual danger (that isn't there) and the fight or flight response kicks in. Before you know it you can get chest tightness or aching and pains and if you allow worry to take over it'll continue and possibly escalate from there.

Amen to that Ed. I had one in a Zumba class a year or so ago, ended up hyperventilating and the whole 9 yards. For the longest time I was afraid to even walk the dogs and get my heart rate up. I am still am at times but try to just put it out of my head and go on with it.
