Weird breathing and palpitations when i try go to sleep

Hi, for a few nights now when I lie down to go sleep its like I miss a few breaths and get flutters in my throat but goes when I sit up. It's a similar feeling to when you wake up gasping for air. Very hard to describe. Anyone else get this?

Is the flutter just in your throat or is your heart skipping a beat and you can feel it in your throat. Mine skips beats and I feel it in my throat too.

Sounds like GERD to me if it happens when you lie down
