I never took medication last time so I'm thinking not to this time as its not as bad as I sufferd with it before but dr has given me a low dose of 10mg amitriptleen <<can't spell it lol .to help with nerv pain and headaches and my mood but scared of the side effect as last time I had citalopram I was waking up very aggressive and felt I was going out of control .. Could I have some advice on this please thank you xxx

Hi, Anna, and welcome back! Just to clarify, are you asking if you should give medication a try? I am on amitriptaline and Celexa and I find them both to be very helpful. Are you being seen by a therapist?

No therapist just as yet and I've been given amytriptleen but scared to take them as I have a baby and don't want to be drowsy in mornings as they help you sleep... X

Why don't you start with half a pill, at least an hour before you want to sleep. Once a few days pass, you can add the other half, and hopefully you won't feel hung over that way. How much is the pill, 25, 50 milligrams or more?

I'm only on 10mg x

That's a really low dose. I actually had no idea that they even made a 10mg pill. I'm on 50mg twice a day. I honestly think you'll be just fine.
