I was on 100 mg of effexor for my anxiety and just went up to 150mg 2 weeks ago. This past week I have been experiencing HORRIBLE depression. Just the other night I was crying uncontrollably and the depression was so bad I had never experienced anything like this, I almost couldn't take the feeling anymore and had thoughts of suicide. I wonder if this is this my brain getting used to the higher dosage. Is this a common side effect? I'm suppose to see my doctor in a few weeks to see how I'm doing. I'm not sure if I should wait this out or go see my doctor now?
