Schizo meds

I have a fear of being a schizophrenic ( I have hallucinations, violent thoughts) the psychiatrist says I am not and that it's just anxiety. However is prescribed me an antipsychotic (rephredal). Anyone else take an anti psychotic for anxiety!

I don't have hallucinations, but I do have violent thoughts. I am on HALDOL, but I'm asking my psychiatrist if she can lower the dose because I'm on 10 mg. Antipsychotics are not for anxiety. You can try a benzodiazepine if it's anxiety and your doctor says its anxiety, but that's up to you and your doctor.

I also do have more anxiety so I'm on a benzodiazepine and a beta blocker and mood stabilizers.

My dads paranoid schizo don't know him I have anxiety I think I have it sometimes without the hallucinations
