Yes. Taper very slowly off this med. and the same for Effexor. In time you get back to where you were. Alankay

How often are you having the symptoms?

I remember when I went off Paxil and Celexa (both at separate times) the withdrawal was quite the battle. It was horrible and lasted at least a month for me. My main symptom was the zaps.

If in doubt, talk to your doctor.

I have anxiety really bad a week before my period, and when i get upset its like i cant control my anger. Do i need to go back on the paxil? When i was taking the paxil it really helped me but i gained 50 lbs in 5 months and the muscles in my arms and legs would ache all the time. The dr has gave me prozac but im afaird to take it, cause i dont want to gain more weight.

Prozac is not very likely to cause much weight gain(look it up). I take it. I would restart and taper off paxil slowly, get down to 5 mg and switch to prozac 10mg for a few weeks then go to 20 mgs or then to the dose the doc rxed. You also could just start the prozac too at the rxed dose now. In time your neurons will adjust and you'll lose those effects. Yes, it could take time. Alankay.
