need new meds?

I have been having bad anxiety attacks lately. I am so concerned about everything. I can't sit still and it is driving me crazy. I have been on Xanax before but it made me feel zombie-like because I was taking it 4 times a day. are there any other options I have that I can discuss with my doctor?

Maybe have them try you on klonopin? I hear that Effexor doubles to help with anxiety, but I've yet to SEE the results from that....

Maybe that was too much xanax and too often. I agree instead or 4x dosing with xanax go with/ask about less of a longer acting med like klonopin or ativan. This might just have been a tad much of a very potent benzo(xanax) too often. So a lower dose of a longer acter and adding an ssri to help you need the benzo less often. Ask about that IHMO.
