Effexor

Hi, all. I'm new to this forum and hoping to find others with similar issues. I've recently been diagnosed with a severe case of untreated anxiety. Today, my doctor prescribed 37.5 mg of Effexor XR. Does anyone have any experience with this or recommendations/advice?

Give it a fair trial. It might make you jumpy first but should help in time. Give it at least 6 weeks .Alankay

I have heard from my doctor who just prescribed this to take it with food. Also, it can make some people more jumpy/anxious so I take mine in the morning with breakfast so as to not interfere with sleep. The biggest caution I was given was to not quit or increase cold turkey. Just go slow until you find the right dose. Good luck!

Like alankay said, you're gonna need to give it a few months to build up in your system.
