I feel like no one gets me

I try to explain to people that I'm struggling through my everyday life and they live usually agree and say they can relate but they don't go through days feeling sick in the stomach, tense and uneasy at all stages and just want to feel peace just for five minutes.. Does any one else feel like this ?

I can completely relate to this! I feel that no matter how hard I try to explain stuff no one can understand just how awful I feel. I joined this forum today hoping to find people who can relate to what I'm feeling :)

I'm right there with you. I can't remember the last time I was at complete ease. Even the weekends I'm on edge. I constantly worry about everything. I've started meditating at night to help me sleep and have found it helps a lot to get my breathing and muscles under control. I've actually been sleeping deeply all night long. Now, to work on my daily anxiety without having to depend on Xanax.

Of course we feel like this ..all of us on this forum have had our moments. Keep your head up...anxiety is very treatable...that is what I keep telling myself:)

I know what you mean. The first time i tried telling my Mum that I was suffering from anxiety, she said "Well what are you anxious about?" !! people think you are just worried, but don't understand that it is much more than that. I managed to get through it and am much better now, but this was probably becasue I could identify the root cause(s). it's harder though if you have nothing in particular to attribute the anxiety to, i.e. you just have it, don't know why it came and don't know how to get rid of it.
