Hi!
I too am having issues with my throat. Every time I swallow it feels like something is stuck. I am constantly worried that I am going to find out I have cancer. I suffer from severe Acid Reflux that is not responding to medication.
I have an appointment with a GI next week and am terrified of what I am going to find out.
I obsess everyday about my health and am always worried the worst will happen.
You are not alone in this.

Yeah i fear the exact same thing. Even when i say to myself even if i do get it i would just have to deal with it, doesent calm me down more. I think it cause i lost both my mum and nan to different cancers and know how long it takes for an actual diagnosis. I seem to get a different symton every day and just fear the worst every time, Its exhausting living this way :(. thank you for your reply xx

My sister had the same thing for years, but got worse when she was eating. She would have tonsilitis about 5 times a year. Finally she kept changing Drs to get a 2nd opinion and finally got a good one that said her tonsils were too big and were always getting infected and sore. This was also the cause of the difficulty eating, but made worse when she was eating in front of friends/boyfriends etc.
My advice would be to get a second opinion, but if they keep telling you that there's nothing wrong then it might be worth trying something different like herbal remedies / changing what you eat. Food intolerance plays a big part in ill-health, especially in the throat and gut. Just don't convince yourself you have throat cancer because worrying about something that you don't have is only going to make matters worse. Ever had a hangover and felt really sick, but then when you start to think about it even more then you actually ARE sick?

Hello. I've had anxiety issues for a few years now and they are back due to new stresses in my life.
I wanted to comment on the throat issues. When I went through my first bout of serious anxiety one of the most bothersome symptoms I had was that my throat felt like it was closing up. I went to the doctor who did a physical exam along with blood tests and pronounced me healthy. Of course I thought I was still sick. Over the next few months my anxiety subsided and so did my throat issues.
I'm confident that if you focus on reducing your stress you will see your symptoms fade over time. I know it's hard to look past what you are dealing with today but I know from experience that with the right treatment you can get better.

It doesnt help that i am petrified of getting a serious illness. I had family members die and seen how long it always takes for stuff to be diagnosed by which time is too late. I had a routine op in july and been stressed ever since. Hopefully the therapist will help xx
I often feel ill with the anxiety. I feel like I'm goingto get sick or have not eaten in ages probably cause I haven't eaten in ages I would pay all my monies in the world to feel normal again. I just want to quit my job nobody believes me

Yes, all the time. Anxiety does do this! I guarantee that most days I feel drained and generally unwell. The headaches, feeling sick, dizziness etc. you're not alone x
I'm the same. I have daily dizziness and weak legs when walking and I've convinced myself I'm dying of something!!

I m so glad someone else can relate. Its hard to think that anxiety can do this. But my blood tests are all clear xx
