Yes it is scary when u think it's going to happen but doesn't, I use to feel the same way. Ignore it dont think about it and it won't happen it's just in ur head. It can drive you crazy if u sit there and start thinking "ok I think I'm gonna get one".. I had a question for you , Do you feel different heart beats at times during the day and freak you out a bit ??

Hiya i get ectopic heartbeats which i got told yrs ago after tests but i dont know whether people class them as palpitations or is it when you can actually feel your heart beating,i get that aswell.

Mine happen when I'm active or just laying down . Seems to be once a day or every few days . I'm so scared to live as I have to anticipate this and my mind is stuck on it . I have been tapering down my Ativan dosage and feel maybe this is contributing ?? But my dr still just won't look further with me to make sure nothing is irregular . My most recent check up with the heart and only one was 7/31.

Is it a feeling like your heart has just done a skip and it can happen sometimes were u think omg my heart isnt going back to normal rythmn,i got diagnosed with ventricular ectopics but i can notice mine when i am sat down or i have just exercised and they are not dangerous loads of healthy people have them, saying that my partner was taking champix to stop smoking and got them sometimes so maybe some types of medication can give u them.

I think i get those. I described it to my doctor as like my heart feels like its trying to pump backwards really hard. Should a person be worried if they get that cause my doc didnt say much. She just looked at me funny

Well your doctor shouldnt of dismissed it but getting it checked makes you feel less anxious when it happens,it is very common apparently, healthy people get them so dont worry.
