Panic attacks, im sick of them!!!

Know it has probably been discussed in the past..... But I am new here, and one of the Things that truly help me is reading what others go through, have gone through or endure. When having an attack. It lets me know that I'm not alone. So any replies would be welcome.

After nearly 20 years I've learnt to wait them out but when you're in the middle of a panic attack it is really hard to do. I distract myself (knitting, jigsaw puzzle even housework etc) as best I can sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.
