Grapefruit juice

As anyone ever taken an ssri with grapefruit juice?

I had a cup of grapefruit juice today forgetting I'm not suppose to drink it!! I start my Prozac tonight should be ok to go? I drank lots of water already and exercised to digest it faster

The reason they don't want u drinking grapefruit juice while taking it is because it can increase the effects of the medication ... Feel free to call your pharmacist or doctor and ask them for reassurance to make u feel better

Thanks! I took my Prozac already hopefully it won't affect me much...I have to remember I can't have grapefruit anymore
