finally bit the bullet

I was married. 17 years to a very controlling jerk...I should rephrase the last few years he was that way with me. We divorced 2 years ago..and the kids being navy brats and not wanting to move stayed with their dad. I recently learned that he is engaged. So I finally got up the nerve to text him congratulations. This may not seem like a big deal. But for me it was a huge step. I haven't heard back. But at least I got up the nerve to offer the olive branch. Score 1 against anxiety!
