what causes muscle and veins twitches?

I have no idea, but when I'm in a very stressful life situation I do get a twitching/dropping eyelid, and it's a know symptom. But it also sometimes happens for no reason, just one of those things.

Apparently the more you feel stressed, the more your involuntary nervous system sends off signals erratically. I bet that's responsible for a lot more than muscle twitches too.

I guess if you're constantly wired for danger things will go 'ping' sometimes, being that tense can't be reliably sustained, you're waiting for the pistol to go off.

Interesting point. I will think about that. IBS springs to mind. Maybe more psychological stuff.
