Just wanted to introduce myself. My name's Brian (or you can call me bcdefg123 if you want), and I'm 21 years old. About a month ago, I started having panic attacks for ultimately inconsequential reasons (minor things happening with my body - a nosebleed, a couple brief, fleeting moments of chest pain, or perhaps a funny feeling that somehow leads me to believe I'm dying and I even started getting them for seemingly no reason after waking up at night). They occurred pretty much daily for a while, and then gave way to a more constant feeling of anxiety issues. Soon I started getting a frankly impressive array of symptoms (to date, I've recorded over 20 of them), and it was those symptoms themselves that brought on the panic attacks. The symptoms have ranged from insomnia to trouble breathing to heart palpitations to IBS-like symptoms.

In short, it became a constant anxiety. First I got a series of heart tests (because I originally thought this might have been heart related), and they've come back okay so far (still wearing an event monitor for a couple more days). My symptoms started to go away a bit during a bike trip, but they've come back soon after, which reinforces the belief that this is anxiety related after all. Currently I saw a new doctor yesterday (I've moved back to college now), and finally went through a doctor's visit using an anxiety angle to my symptoms. I received Buspirone as a trial while I wait to see a psychotherapist and another person who will be able to diagnose me with anxiety. I've been taking the medicine at half-dose so far and am about to go to the full dosage. So I'll see how that goes.

Anyway, I just thought it'd be a good idea to join up with a community of people that have gone through the same things that I have, to help and be helped. So here I am :)
