Hi,

I'm a 29 yo female. I have anxiety (mostly social) and situational depression. I'm now weaning off of Paxil because of weight gain, and I was told to try Zoloft next but I don't want to go on another anti-depressant. They make my hyper, almost manic, and jittery and even more nervous. I tried Zoloft before, at a low dose, and I felt like I was on speed. I mostly have social anxiety, and my depression is situational because I don't have any friends, and I haven't had any in years. I also take Klonopin PRN. I was a shut-in from ages 22-28, never leaving my parents house unless I had to.

All stated words are all too common with paxil, makes you eat lika horse, and zoloft is close in structure but not quite. You may still have the hyper thing going on. Thess 2 meds in particular + lexapro has been known to be kinda speedy but also starving too. Klonopin is a GREAT thing, long acting benzo..nice! We will get you back outta the house, trust me. I will post up again tomorrow. Have a great night Lisa!1...

I am out of the house now. I go to college 3 days/week (when it's in session) and I go to the gym 5 days /week. In the past I was a shut-in for years. Yeah, SSRI's (I've tried almost all of them) make me almost manic and hyper. For example, on Paxil I kept switching my major in college because I couldn't decide what to major in, and now that I'm almost off of Paxil and I've calmed down, I know exactly what I want to major in.
