So I'm new on here. I decided to look for a group to talk to about what I'm going through. I've been dealing with anxiety and panic attacks for about 8 years now. When it started back then, I was in the er numerous occasions one ended up in a 3 day stay. After all was said and done and many tests later, I was diagnosed with anxiety and panic attacks. I have been on celexa and xanax as needed pretty much since. Every once in a while it flairs up then goes away. Recently I have been experiencing more anxiety and panic again and it doesn't seem to subside. I have the feelings again that make me wonder if its really anxiety or heart problems. The feelings come and go and of course are worse if I think about it. Not really sure what I'm looking for here other than someone to talk to and relate to.

Thanks for listening.

Hey I'm Jess .... I e had anxiety since I was a little girl .... Only really had it bad about 1 year ago ...it started out as a little insomnia and than it got sooo bad that I had the worst physical symptoms .... I was against meds only because I work in a pharmacy I knew how addictive anti depressant and anti anxiety meds get .... So I went through all of the symptoms all physical and emotional and psychological symptoms of anxiety I had and dealt with for a good 6 months until I started working out at the gym and learning ways to accept my anxiety and I did it finally felt normal until I found out I was pregnant then I had a lot if stress and anxiety up until he was 3 months old .....instill get pretty anxious here and there .... But when you find what helps it get easier and easier

Hello, nice to meet you. It's good to have someone to relate too. My latest bout of panic attacks is revolving around my heart, chest, left arm & shoulder. I fear i'll have a heart attack and I can't shake the feeling. I saw my dr and he up'd my meds, did bloodwork and an ekg. I feel like its not enough though. I can go for most of the day feeling ok if I'm busy, but the moment I stop to think, everything hits me. If I'm alone its at its worst. My anxiety has kept me from doing tons lately. I've done as little as possible the past few weeks. I need my life back.

Thanks again for listening.

Hey zks,

Key words in your first post..I recall replying to you before just not sure of the topic or subject matter but I will find it, back to key words (recently, heightened anxiety, triggered panic attacks)..Those are what stands out to me... Question to you? What has CHANGED in your life?... simple answer as this "suddenality" of the return or recurrence of these symptoms is tellin me something. I just dont know what yet, but I bet we'll find out.

Enduronman.

I am with you as well. I've been to the ER 5 times due to chest pains. I've had EKG, Blood tests, Stress test etc done and now I'm on Effexor and Ativan. Now I
am on a heart monitor for 3 weeks because my cardiologist thinks it will give me peace of mind that everything is ok. 2 months ago my Uncle (not biological) dieed of a heart attack, 2 days later I started getting chest pain and so on and so on. I'm 30 by the way.

I was worrying about my heart a month ago, i had my first full blown panic attack and I thought I was having a heart attack, I'm only 23 for gawds sake! Next 2 or 3 days I was convinced I was dying, I couldn't eat, was scared to go to sleep incase I didn't wake up. The fact you said you feel ok when your busy suggests it's all in your mind. The less I thought about my heart palpitations the better I felt. I've had 2 panic attacks since then and managed to keep them under control. You gotta tell yourself it's just anxiety, breathe deeply and it will pass eventually.

I have constant paranoia about the heart, and I too am only 25 and am in good health after all testing. I can definately relate. Your not alone!

And heart palpitations and chest twitches are THE WORST
