Numb Patch on Lip

I fell asleep yesterday, and woke up biting my lip, since then its been numb just in one area on my lower left lip.
I have been to the doctors today and she said its nothing to worry about as my speech is fine and i can eat and drink.

Im just really worried that something is wrong, i think its my anxiety playing me up but i could taste blood in my mouth earlier, dont know if its my mind playing tricks but im really scared something is wrong with me cos its been 24hrs and its still numb.

please help
