does your anxiety tone down a little bit after getting out of highschool...cause right now my anxiety sucks really bad..i just need some hope of maybe some mercy after i get out of high school...cause it sucks being here..people are so judgemental of all their little clicks and stuff..and i don't relle fit in anywhere..i have friends but i dont go out at all anymore..and the only thing to do with my friends is to smoke weed or drink and i dont relle like doing that anymore cause it increses my anxiety even more..and plus i dont like being messed up infront of peopel. idk this just sucks. :(

I just got into college and I don't know if it definitely gets better, but aspects heal. For example, if you spend a long time away from your family, your family will probably not worry you as much. I go to boarding school but I still worry a lot. You might start worrying about other things, that you haven't considered yet. But don't smoke to get away from it, and I'm not being self-righteous. I used to smoke a lot of weed with a guy I was hooking up with, thinking that smoking and being with him would help me, and it was really just annoying and made it worse. So don't do that, and I wouldn't suggest excessive drinking either.
But to get a better understanding of your anxiety, what is it like specifically?

it's like on and off all the time..but like somtimes i jsut get really nervous..and like i care way too much about what other people think of me and i feel very akward and i can't chill out for a long time..its mostyly social anxiety and once in awhile when im stressed its just generalized anxiety where like ym heartbeat just won't slow down...i get short of breath somtimes but i think idk its mostly cause i care too much f what people think of me at school..i think once im out on my own i wont feel as judged anymore..

I'd say high school is way more judgemental than college. Your social anxiety will probably calm down in college a bit, but it is also important to remember that your social anxiety comes from within, not from other people. So although college may be less of a judgemental environment, you may still be afflicted with "social anxiety". I heard that I should go to a behavioral therapist. Maybe you should try that before college? =)

God its been about ten years for me but it did help at the time. The transition is an oppertunity to reinvent ourselves which is always fun.
