    Hey, I'm Jeantte!

Hey, I'm Jeanette, I'm 26, I have had anxiety for the past 10 years. I suffer from a panic disorder that is mostly set off by my hypochondria these days. I was in a coma when I was a child which triggered my hypochondria at a young age but my panic attacks didn't actually start until I had someone break into my apartment about 10 years ago. Anywho, I am mostly a nice girl who just needs to let off a little steam with people who might understand this heaviness in my chest and I also wanted to add that I am a great listener if anyone ever wants to vent.

Hi Jeanette, my name is Michele, I to suffer from hypochondria, I have lived with ptsd my whole life but some how kinda stuffed it until Aug 2010 when I went into atrial fibrillation at the age of 39. I DO NOT have any underlying heart issues,as a matter of fact my heart is perfectly healthy but going into afib at a young age and noone being able to tell me why started a 3 year downward spiral, I am so stressed out with my health on a daily basis that every ache pain headache etc... is some underlying disease the doctors arent finding , I have got my body so naturally tense that I dont sleep well. The sad thing is I recognize it is anxiety but I am in a habit and my body is too, my vision changes, im weak, fatigued dizzy and headaches on a daily basis, I am constantly googleing diseases that all my physical symptoms match, it is a vicious cycle I am in and im NOT going to get better until I break the habit. My question is since you have hypochondria are you also afraid of medications? I AM!! I want so badly to start takeing the zoloft the dr gave me but the very thought of it causes so much anxiety, I have become afraid of other things that I use to not be too, grocery carts, food cooked by other people, just some new phobias developing, very strange behavior for me. Did you develop any other strange phobias with your anxiety? I havnt talked to many people suffering from hypochondria any advice you have learned through your journey would be appriciated. thank you Michele

Take the zoloft. I take mine, after struggling with the experience of being afraid of it. I take it with a full glass of liquid, and it helps. When you are so tense that you can not relax, it's difficult to find a way to let go and just be in the moment.

When you experience a multiple attack of sensations, it is easy to lump together everything. Take time to separate the different symptoms, and know that the symptoms are real, they are a measure of pain, and that you can make them disappear naturally with some help.

Best wishes. You are not alone with this.
