Hi everyone,

I've been battling depression and anxiety for a number of years now. It became very bad once I lost my parents and have had to try to get on with my life and figure things out on my own. I've wanted to join this forum for quite some time but my anxiety always got the better of me. Things have gotten worse now, a lot has happened, and I think I just need a place where people understand what I'm going through. I have my SO and some friends but as much as they try, they can't seem to fully understand what I deal with on a day-to-day basis. I just feel so alone lately.

I'm not sure what else to say, really.

For me this is one of the hardest parts of panic disorder and anxiety. It's totally subjective. You can't share how you feel with anyone that doesn't have them. It's frustrating and in the extreme it can be detrimental to recovery. Finding other people that suffer from the same thing is paramount, imho. You've made a good first step here. Welcome to the forum from a fellow newbie
