    Please help [I'm new]

I have been seeing my Psychiatrist for three months now and I'm a 20 year old male. She has me on Buspar/Paxil/Klonopin/Ativan. I told her a million times I have NO depression at all. My problem is severe anxiety only and that's it, I never am depressed or have thoughts about suicide. She continues to keep me right now on Buspar/Paxil/Klonopin she switched my Ativan to Clonazepam [Klonopin] because she said it was stronger. I am following her drug suggestion to the point for a while now and it's not working. I told her that I wanted to switch my benzodiazepine to something else because it's obviously not working at all. Currently she tells me to take 1mg of Clonazepam at night and 1mg in the morning. She told me that other options like Valium or Xanax are to addictive and she won't put me on them. I told her that I'm on Buspar and Paxil for a long time and they've done nothing and the benzodiazepine I'm on doesn't stop the crazy panic I have in class at college and that I've never abused anything she's given me. I explained to her to switch she obviously knew that these drugs were made for a reason and they are what I want to try because I believe I need something more potent. I shake in class, sweat like I'm running miles, and get insane headaches around classmates. She simply wants to just continue in telling me to keep taking my current drugs which cost me a shit load of money and are not working. Should I switch doctor's? I've had enough I feel like I know more about this stuff then she does [Just out of frustration]
    Please help!!!!!

I say find a different doctor. If this person is unwilling to help you, what's the point? Also, you should look into nonpharmaceutical treatments (such as CBT, ACT, ERT, etc). NO medication is a long-term solution to your problem. And NO medication will cure you.

Well the AD's usually reduce anxiety but take time to work. She knows you're not depressed and that's why she's giving you an AD(paxil). Indeed other non med treatment options should be going on as well. You should also be talking to a therapist/counselor to see if the cause of the anxiety can be found and worked on. Actually what she's doing is pretty standard protocol. I won't be surprised if she wanted to up the paxil dose. Message me any time.

Again although they're called antidepressants, they have anti-anxiety effects. This has been going on since April and you're no better???
All the meds listed are in generic so should be cheap.
Anyway, a long acting benzo(valium) is not any more addictive than another long acting benzo(klonopin). If you've done(complied) as directed but still in bad shape, run don't walk to another psychiatrist. She's not "bad", just not getting the result you need. Ask the new one about a beta blocker for shaking in class if you have no asthma, etc. Use vitals.com to look up another in you area. Check their ratings. Alankay.
