    Dinosauria, We
    By Charles Bukowski

    https://youtu.be/qQJengH58ow

    Born like this
    Into this
    As the chalk faces smile
    As Mrs. Death laughs
    As the elevators break
    As political landscapes dissolve
As the supermarket bag boy holds a college degree
As the oily fish spit out their oily prey
    As the sun is masked
    We are
    Born like this
    Into this
    Into these carefully mad wars
Into the sight of broken factory windows of emptiness
Into bars where people no longer speak to each other
Into fist fights that end as shootings and knifings
    Born into this
Into hospitals which are so expensive that it’s cheaper to die
Into lawyers who charge so much it’s cheaper to plead guilty
Into a country where the jails are full and the madhouses closed
Into a place where the masses elevate fools into rich heroes
    Born into this
    Walking and living through this
    Dying because of this
    Muted because of this
    Castrated
    Debauched
    Disinherited
    Because of this
    Fooled by this
    Used by this
    Pissed on by this
Made crazy and sick by this
    Made violent
    Made inhuman
    By this
    The heart is blackened
The fingers reach for the throat
    The gun
    The knife
    The bomb
The fingers reach toward an unresponsive god
The fingers reach for the bottle
    The pill
    The powder
We are born into this sorrowful deadliness
We are born into a government 60 years in debt
That soon will be unable to even pay the interest on that debt
    And the banks will burn
    Money will be useless
There will be open and unpunished murder in the streets
It will be guns and roving mobs
    Land will be useless
Food will become a diminishing return
Nuclear power will be taken over by the many
Explosions will continually shake the earth
Radiated robot men will stalk each other
The rich and the chosen will watch from space platforms
Dante’s Inferno will be made to look like a children’s playground
The sun will not be seen and it will always be night
    Trees will die
    All vegetation will die
Radiated men will eat the flesh of radiated men
    The sea will be poisoned
The lakes and rivers will vanish
Rain will be the new gold
The rotting bodies of men and animals will stink in the dark wind
The last few survivors will be overtaken by new and hideous diseases
And the space platforms will be destroyed by attrition
    The petering out of supplies
The natural effect of general decay
And there will be the most beautiful silence never heard
    Born out of that.
    The sun still hidden there
    Awaiting the next chapter.

I was at the supermarket today and was already in a bad mood. You know what really aggravates me in stores? How they play loud music. If I'm organised I wear my earphones and listen to my own music, but I'm not the most organised person. I don't know why they do that, unless I'm that different to other people and they find it relaxing. I mean the whole point of creating a certain atmosphere in shops is obviously to encourage people to stay in there and spend money. It has the opposite effect on me.. Quite often I find myself thinking "I have to get out of here ASAP" and I can't even concentrate on what I'm doing. I've heard that some supermarkets have a special hour when they turn the lights and music down, and I think it's for parents with children on the autism spectrum. Pretty sure I'm not on the spectrum because most of the symptoms are actually the opposite to my characteristics. But the noise/light thing is very similar.

I don't, but I don't trust the government(s) either. I don't look at or read much news because it does my head in. I think people need to be careful of jumping the gun though and learn to live differently, virus or no virus. Most people are incapable of staying home and reading a book these days. They're incapable of walking anywhere. Just things like that.

Anyway, did your Mothers Day go ok, Dahila?

Self!! Get out from under that goat!

    Grand Canyon -- Puscifer

    Lost as I may be
In the fog of my own noise and triviality
Grand Holy Mother, grant me clarity
I am standing on the edge of forever
    Forever

    One among infinity
    Witnessing the majesty
    Calm in this humility
    Witnessing the majesty
Hope as far as one can see
    Witnessing the majesty
    Witnessing the majesty
    Witnessing the majesty
Standing on the edge of forever

    Blessed be
    This reawakening
Grand Holy Mother, end my deathly slumber to
To stand fearless on the edge of forever
    Forever

    One among infinity
    Witnessing the majesty
    Calm in this humility
    Witnessing the majesty
    Witnessing the majesty
    Witnessing the majesty
Hope as far as one can see
    Witnessing the majesty
Standing on the edge of forever

    Hope as far
    As one can see
    As one can see

Standing on the edge of forever

So, lil gypsy is working as a checkout girl? She isn't so little any more.

I hope she's taking all the overtime she can get. Those P!nk tickets cost a bomb.

Life here is starting to move forward. Lockdown was recently eased. We still can't visit family and friends, but there are no limits on going outdoors now, as long as you socially distance. Lots of shops are still closed, at least until they can find out how to open safely.

Everybody has become quite lethargic after having several weeks of nothing. Even my cat just sits and watches TV nowadays. Heeeeeee.

I'll get on the laptop *rolls eyes*.

Make sure you don't roll on it when you're listening to music. I've done that a few times. Nearly broke the thing.
Well I’ve gone from an iPhone 5s to an iPhone XR.. In my day (*waves walking stick*) five years between updating technology wasn’t unusual. Apple have already released the iPhone 12 and god knows what since the XR! But the beauty of Apple products is the user-friendliness, so I’m getting on pretty well with it and haven’t had any serious fits of anger. I even updated to the latest iOS the other day without any drama.

Yeah, I still need to get a screen protector for it. I’ve fallen asleep and woken up lying on the phone.. Never done much damage at all to them or the iPad though. The worst story I’ve heard was from a guy who had his iPad in his kid’s pram. He folded the pram up and *crunch*. Oh and LOL, one time Little Gypsy threw her phone across the room.. It was fine but it landed on her father’s iPad and smashed the screen. She was in the biggest panic and said she’d seen a huntsman spider and freaked out lol. She’d actually just had a fit of rage. Yes, us Gypsies have anger management problems heeeeee.

    The Humbling River — Puscifer

    https://youtu.be/GgwK9sHTu-8

    Nature, nurture heaven and home
Sum of all, and by them, driven
    To conquer every mountain shown
But I've never crossed the river

Braved the forests, braved the stone
Braved the icy winds and fire
Braved and beat them on my own
Yet I'm helpless by the river

Angel, angel, what have I done?
I've faced the quakes, the wind, the fire
I've conquered country, crown, and throne
Why can't I cross this river?

Pay no mind to the battles you've won
It'll take a lot more than rage and muscle
Open your heart and hands, my son
Or you'll never make it over the river

It'll take a lot more than words and guns
A whole lot more than riches and muscle
The hands of the many must join as one
And together we'll cross the river

    Nature, nurture heaven and home
It'll take a lot more than words and guns
Sum of all, and by them, driven
A whole lot more than riches and muscle
    To conquer every mountain shown
The hands of the many must join as one
And together we'll cross the river

Braved the forests, braved the stone
It'll take a lot more than words and guns
Braved the icy winds and fire
A whole lot more than riches and muscle
Braved and beat them on my own

The hands of the many must join as one

And together we'll cross the river
And together we'll cross the river
And together we'll cross the river
