I don't have hypochondria (health anxiety). I only see my GP once or twice per year. I see my psychiatrist once every two months.
I avoid visiting doctors like a plague, I go when I must go. I see my psychiatrist every 3 months to talk about politics

I actually don't mind having to see a doctor every so often. I don't look forward to it. But I don't dread it either.
I have had health anxiety for many years and have a concierge physician. I go as issues arise.
I've been lucky that I've never had to see my GP more than actually do.
