    Muscle relaxant?

Has anyone had any luck with just a muscle relaxant? I get terrible stress in my shoulders and glutes and physio/yoga only provides a very short-term relief leaving it very hard to sleep at night.

    Thanks :-)

Meditation is the best relaxer for tense muscles

    I agree entirely!

I do Iyengar Yoga a couple of times a week, physio, and daily HIIT sessions with stretching afterwards and stretching again at night. After trying that for what seems like forever (7 months in reality), I feel very discouraged and the pain from the spasms in my piriformis wake me up at night. It's prevented me from training which has led to further stress about the situation. I had to skip a race this past weekend which was very upsetting.

    Iyengar Yoga is meditative...

I'm doing IMS on Thursday to release the muscle.
