You Must Care About Those You're Trying To Help. But Don't Get Too Involved.

If you're trying to help people dealing with serious mental health issues, you absolutely must care about those you're trying to help out.

However, you don't want to get too emotionally involved.

If you do, you'll probably get burned out and become rather frustrated. And then you won't be able to help anybody if that happens.

Their has to be a balance. That's one of the keys to helping people with mental illness, and is one of the keys to working in the mental health field.
