    Hello from Me, Shabbyshot :)

    Hello Everyone,

I am your Happy-Go-Lucky Anxious Homosapien who is me, shabbyshot.

I was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder, believed to mainly be because of bullying from my younger life (Grade 1 -> 12/Graduated), along with the social challenges that followed not having any friends.

That component of my life is great now, I have a great & very caring older brother who took me under his wing and helped my social aptitude to a more than impressive degree in my opinion.

I have recently started taking SSRI's (Only a few days in) because I've been having random Anxiety attacks, extremely severe to the point that I have heart palpitations, trembling extremities, cold sweats, upset stomach, chest pains, and inability to focus or concentrate on anything, even things I love.

I will be starting CBT treatment near the end of the year once the SSRI's have stabilized, and I have a very positive outlook for the future, however the present kind of sucks.

    So, hello!

G'day Shabby ... you don't so too shabby to me, but far be it for me to pull the rug out from under your feet.
Yea - unresolved issues can run deep. I hear ya on that. All the best seeking out branches that help you deal with that so that you can start enjoying the present because if we can't live with that then we may as well be dead.

    Welcome to the forum.
