Unhappy Would an increase in my medication help me deal with grief?

I've been on Zoloft for 9 years, and I'm now at 100mg. It was working well, until the sudden and unexpected passing of my father less than two weeks ago. My anxiety and panic disorder has been THROUGH THE ROOF! I was just wondering if you all would think an increase would help? I of course wouldn't do so without consulting my doctor, but I didn't want to schedule an appointment if it may not even be beneficial. I know everyone is different and no one can say for sure, but through experience or personal reasoning, I would just like some opinions on it. Thank you all so very much.

Absolutely. Sorry to hear of your loss.

Doc will probably increase dosage anyway. if that doesn't work, there are plenty if other SSRI you can start taking instead

BrookeM, I think an appointment with your doctor would be beneficial. I wouldn't worry about it not being beneficial for you.
