    Experience with citalopram?

Been prescribed 10mg citalopram for anxiety/depression.. just wondering if anyone is or has taken citalopram and had positive effects? I've heard lots of bad things and the thought of it making me feel worse before it gets better terrifies me!!

I take escitalopram (newer version) and it did not make me feel worse before it made me feel better, because it really takes 3-4 weeks to take full effect.

To answer your question, yes, it has been extremely helpful.

I've been on 40mg of citalopram for several months now and it has been extremely helpful. I've found that it has helped both my anxiety and depression.

I had no issues with citalopram, but found escitalopram to work better for me.
