Question I'm new to this but not new to myself

I'm Storm and i have severe anxiety , a little depression and apparently i am unaware of my closet of insercurities. I don't see myself as broken , i don't pity or offer pity but i do believe that it is special to feel and be the way i am and i am not ashamed. Just never really had people who could understand me for what i am and see me past all of the 'sadness' because i am living and i am happy but i am also sad . Becuase so many people misunderstood me for wanting attention and others istook me for a very ill individual, never really got to share myself in a way that truly reflected me. Really fucked up how i see myself. Now i want to be a true self. Why must i hide it anymore?

No need to hide it. I wear my anxiety issues like a badge of courage. I fight it and win over it most times. We truly are a strong breed of people. If other people don't like it or have problems with it, that is there problem and not yours.

I wish more people saw us the way we see ourselves. Because it really is a badge of courage and of strength too. It really is a beautiful thing but so many people feel sorry for us but really there's nothing to feel for. But i will admit how scary it can be at times.

Do you guys ever just switch moods within a short period of time and not understand why? I recently started showing empty symptoms of bipolar, and i really felt like that was what was wrong with me. And then i realized that my anxiety was just getting worse and worse. I really can't be around my friends and sisters for long without me having another episode. I hardly understand why this is happening to me guys...

I was just talking to someone about this the other day. Yes, mood switches can happen very randomly and out of nowhere. I do know when it is happening and sometimes can control it. It has gotten better since I have taken on an "I-don't-give-a f*ck" type of attitude.

I have found that acceptance of your anxiety is the key to feeling better.

    Hey Stormizee,

I suggest that you learn, become proficient in, and employ acupressure tapping / EFT, and progressive muscle relaxation, ( http://www.drcoxconsulting.com/managing-stress.html ) using whichever you find most effective.

Give the Meridian Tapping Technique / EFT a good tryout, to see if it helps you. It is free via mercola.com or www.tapping.com (13 free videos), or www.eftuniverse.com or www.emofree.com or one of the many YouTube videos. Google: "YouTube; EFT videos".
Professionally instructed is generally preferable (Google: therapists; EFT; [your location] or mercola.com has a locator). - There is a version for use in public places at http://eft.mercola.com (if you like, you can claim to have a headache, as you employ the acupressure massage / tapping on your temples, but you would then be restricted to subvocalising: saying it to yourself in your mind: "Even though I have anxiety, I deeply and completely accept myself)."

Girls could benefit by maintaining a daily journal, and mood chart, (rating out of 10) and seeing if they can correlate it with their menstrual cycle. If so, take the quiz on http://your-mental-health.weebly.com/r.html about PMS/PMDD. Take the quiz at http://www.womentowomen.com/assessme...b/default.aspx and consider signing up for their free newsletter, and check out http://www.safemenopausesolutions.com/cl… Use http://www.patientslikeme.com/mood/commu… - MOOD CONDITIONS FORUM. Many other teenage girls experience similar problems, but women advise that, as they mature, get more used to their changing bodies, their raging hormonal fluctuations, and their brains reach full development in early adulthood, and they find their way in the world, then things get better. Stabilise hormonal levels with bioidentical hormones from a compounding pharmacy; consult a naturopath. Eating disorders are addressed on page N, at weebly.com

Hypnosis is merely a heightened state of suggestibility, in which you are better able to communicate with your subconscious mind; view http://myfavoriteinterests.com/hypnosis/ about what it is, and isn't.

85% of people are suggestible to some degree; 15% - 20% highly so, and 15% - 20% aren't much at all, so you could either preferably seek professional hypnotherapy, or, if not an option, hypnosisdownloads.com has ones about controlling your emotions.

Hoping something in the above helps.

Thank you Nowuccas. Definitely checking it out . I definitely need a mood chart that's for sure. Although i've always suspected it to be a "girls" thing on the monthly. It was truly a lie i used to keep from confronting it. I just hated the stereotype that surrounded a girl always swinging moods. Couldn't really tell people it's my anxiety. Like no. Already hate being the sickly one.
Trying to control my moods as you are talking about SanFranLarry And that fuck attitude is exactly what i'm lacking. But learning it bit by bit.
And Kirk acceptance is key i agree. Something i am growing closer to each day. Hopefully soon i'll be confident enough to share it with my loved ones.
