    Lightbulb Looking For Ideas

    Hello Everyone,

I am new to the forum, but I joined so that I could get other people's ideas. I do not personally have anxiety, but my girlfriend does. She struggles constantly with it and it is so hard to watch. She wouldn't go get help for the longest time because her parents wouldn't pay for her to go see a doctor and she was too embarrassed to go to the counseling center. For 4-5 years she struggled with it by herself and I helped when I could, but I couldn't be there for every single panic attack. I was wondering what if there was a product that people could buy that could help them deal with their anxiety better. Something that wasn't as strong as a prescription, but could get you through the panic or anxiety attack. I am trying to make that product into a subscription box. I would like to know, one, if anyone had any input on whether this is a good idea or a bad idea, two, if anyone had any suggestions of what they would put in it.

Thanks and hope to meet you all soon,

    Anxious Turtle

Hi there. I'm Alex, joined this forum to help others deal with anxiety/panic attacks and help myself by remembering I went through them and got healed. First of all congratulations on being so involved and doing the best you can to help your girlfriend. Although, as a person suffering from anxiety you may occasionally feel as a burden, it means a great deal to know you are loved and cared for. However I am not going to lie to you, depending on the intensity of the anxiety your girlfriend suffers from. there are many prescription drugs, breathing exercises that make it easier, yet do not cure anxiety. There is no general cure, but dealing with the core of the issues that led her to these feelings she is having is the best way to go. From my personal experience, I would not recommend any method that makes panic attacks easier as it is a way to cover up, and causes serious addiction. However these methods work best with therapy, which helps you understand the reasons for your anxiety and gradually takes you off medication. As I was going through panic attacks I remember having very low self esteem, though I am an extrovert, happy go lucky person, feeling like I was too much to handle for my boyfriend, feeling like I should stay in bed all day long. However, panic can go away or become very manageable if dealt properly. last panic attack, November 2012. It is possible

    Hey anxiousturtle,

The best advice that I can give to people suffering from panic attacks is to learn and practise an anti-panic attack breathing method, so that they are proficient, and can employ one in the event of an occurrence.

My previous post at http://anxietyforum.net/forum/showth...006#post220006 refers.

    GENERALISED ANXIETY DISORDER: See http://anxietyforum.net/forum/showth...989#post223989

    HERBAL ANXIOLYTICS: View http://anxietyforum.net/forum/showth...415#post225415

I don't recommend kratom, and other herbal anxiolytics should only be used on a short term basis, while becoming competent in breathing, and anti-anxiety techniques such as progressive muscle relaxation and EFT / acupressure tapping.

Google the hazards and use of herbal anxiolytics, and I suggest trying Erowid on them, such as passionflower at https://www.google.com.au/search?cli...UTF-8&oe=UTF-8

Kindly make a modest contribution, if helped, as they rely on them to maintain the site and inform others.
