    Super anxious lately

For the last two weeks I've been very anxious and jittery. I had a sore throat in August and I still feel like my one tonsil is slightly swollen and the gland under my neck. I need home remedies or something I can do because I'm terrified to go to the doctor. I'm top of that, my central vision in my one eye has been blurry and I went to the eye doctor Who sent me to a retina specialist, and I have vitreal macular traction syndrome. And I have to go back next Friday and discuss surgery on my eye. I don't feel like I'm a wreck over that but I know subconsciously I can't stop thinking about it. Lately, although I don't feel tired, my eyelids feel heavy several times during the day. Of course that makes me nervous and then and up in the bathroom again lol. Also, in November I'm going on a cruise to the Bahamas. It sounds like a wonderful vacation but I'm terrified of having a panic attack or my anxiety while I'm on the boat and can't escape to anywhere. I'll have my Xanax and my Zoloft with me but i'm still terrified.

I was doing so good for about six or seven weeks and then I just feel like I plummeted when I got a sore throat. My shoulders are killing me and my back is killing me and I'm just carrying so much stress. I tried jogging or sitting with my eyes closed and relaxing but I'm not the kind of person that can clear my mind. Quiet time is the most dangerous time for my mind. I can't think of palm trees and find a happy place.

I am that same person that cannot quiet my brain. I have to tire it out. I have a strategy game that I play on my phone, and it gives me a place to "zone out", but that's as much as I can do in terms of relaxing sometimes. It's normal for the anxiety sufferer to have a peak in anxiety when there are health concerns. I know that has done it to me. Even something as silly as a stomach ache has ruined my day with anxious thoughts. I sure hope you can get the eye issue resolved before your vacation, and that will be one more thing off your mind. I've had the same fears about a cruise. I would definitely need something to knock me out in those moments! Just remember.... there are escape boats!
