Does anyone believe that adderall usage can cause chemical or psychological dependency or addiction and precipitate depression if not taken?

The medical community states that adderall cannot cause these things, although a psychological addiction can occur with anything.

I've always blamed my SSRI's as being a crutch for my brain in alleviating depression and anxiety. And when they were taken away, even through a slow taper, made my situation worse because I no longer had it and couldn't return to normal brain chemistry.

But recently I've explored the possibility that not taking adderall could make depression/anxiety, fear of death, etc. worse because I haven't fully absolved myself from psychotropic drugs.

Can anyone attest to this in their own experience?
