Hello everyone.

I'm 24 and have had moderate anxiety for a few years. My symptoms have increased and have caused me more problems in the last 6 months. Yesterday I was prescribed Citalopram. I'm hopeful that this will help to decrease my symptoms, but I am also nervous of side effects. Will I gain weight?

Hey! Thanks for the reply. I have not yet done any CBT. I talked to my doctor about what course to take, and I decided to start on meds first, as I need my symptoms to be controlled enough for me to even feel comfortable talking to someone about it. I certainly plan to engage in therapy once I'm feeling a little more comfortable.....
