    someone to turn to....

Hello I'm new here and I've never really signed up for sites like this..I mean support sites. Dating sites of course who hasn't. But you can't really say on there I suffer from depression and anxiety. So I guess the reason I'm here is because I'm wanting some cyber shoulder to lean on. The only one in my life who.understands this is my mother. Who I love dearly. But when she's not there who do I turn too?? My anxiety sometimes gets the best of me. I take medication for it but lately I've needed it more then usual. And that worries me. I don't want to depend on it and it be my only shoulder to lean on.....

    Hi Mariaaa:

You might be vitamin d3 deficient, and that could cause you all this trouble !
For more information, please read my Thread "The Cure ?" under depression forum.

    Best wishes.

    Hi there,

    I'm Ace

As DSS has said, we are all here for you. This forum is like a family of fellow anxiety sufferers. Sometimes friends and family, even though they may be completely supportive, they don't always completely understand what you're going through. Here, we've each experienced panic attacks and situations of complete loss of hope where we've huddled in a corner, trembled and cried. That alone may make you feel at ease, knowing you aren't the only one who is going through this.

Don't let hope die, because there is always hope. So many people have overcome anxiety and moved on to live successful and fruitful lives. It just takes time, this isn't short-lived like a common cold (Unfortunately >.<) One thing I'd suggest is continuing to see a counselor for an extra source of professional advice. Also, if you have friends who are understanding, hanging out with them and doing stuff to take your mind off the anxiety helps :]

Anyway, Welcome to the forums! Don't be afraid to post if you seek advice!

It feels so good to hear that you understand and other people understand. It's a hard to come across that. So thank you for your thoughtful words.

Hi Mariaaa, yeah, I've been on dating sites also but everyone has their life together and has a career and of course no depression/anxiety ads. (Oh yeah I'm a female and assuming you are too so not "hitting on you" or anything ha ha but I understand where you are coming from.) I also rely on my mother much too much even though I'm 31 years old. She's my only human contact most days. My medication is not enough, and I keep asking for stronger meds but nothing works well enough... Stay strong Mariaaa and if you ever need anyone to talk to I'm here for you and so is everyone on this site.
Looking to find friends who also have remorse/regret issues from their past
